Day 1 Arrival to Oslo

From the airport – transfer to the hotel in the city by taxi.

Day 2 Oslo

After breakfast your private driver-guide will meet you at the lobby and will take you to 3 h tour of the Norwegian capital.

You will start the tour visiting world-famous Holmenkollen ski jump for panoramic views of the city and fjord. Then you will proceed to the Vigeland Sculpture Park where you will have a chance to walk in the park; will drive through the city center where you will see the main attractions; and will end the tour downtown.

Day 3 Oslo – Grotli (420 km)

You will depart from Oslo towards world-famous Lillehammer. You will drive alongside Lake Mjosa; upon arrival to Lillehammer you will visit the Olympia Park.

Day 4 Grotli – Geiranger – Briksdal glacier – Balestransd (360 km)

Today you will continue to Geirangerfjord is recognized as the world’s most beautiful fjord. The scenery here is magnificent, exotic, wild and stunning. With the fjord, waterfalls and steep mountains, Geiranger has become one of Norway’s most popular tourist attractions. In 2005, UNESCO decided to inscribe Geirangerfjord (along with Nærøyfjord) with surrounding areas on its UNESCO World Heritage List, for the world’s most important sites of cultural and natural heritage. This is Norway’s first site of natural heritage on this prestigious list, well-earned due to the area’s outstanding geological value and the unique and stunning landscapes.

You will drive through Dalsnibba mountain plato (view point at 1500 meters above sealevel), then you will have some sightseeing in Geiranger area – will see the view point of Flydalsjuvet (320 meters above sea level) with the splendid view over Geirangerfjord.

Then you will also visit to Norwegian Fjord Center The aim of this information centre is to provide basic information about the World Heritage Site. With exhibits based on the lives and livelihoods of the people of the Geirangerfjord, Fjord Centre offers a unique and rewarding insight into the history, the colorful people and the fabulous natural scenery of the area. The very latest technology is used to bring you information about the local flora and fauna, geological features including landslides and landslide areas, hydro-electric power development, road-building, tourism and transport, folk life and nature.

Day 5 Balestransd – Flam – Gudvangen – Bergen (290 km)

Breakfast at the hotel, today you will keep on exploring the bespoken nature of the fjords – you will be travelling private in Sognefjord and Naeroyfjord area. You will drive from Balestrand to Flam, on the way you will have a chance to visit famous stave church at Kaupanger in Sogndal is the largest of the stave churches, and is still in use as the local parish church. The Kaupanger Stave Church was built in the socalled Borgund style on the remnants of two earlier churches, and dates back to about 1190.

Then you will drive through the longest car tunnel in the world (24.5 km) and will arrive to small village of Flam at Aurland valley. From Flam you will have a chance to explore the Flam Railway – an incredible train journey from Flam station nestled in the innermost corner of the Aurlandfjord up to the mountain station at Myrdal on the Bergen Railway. The train journey provides some of Norway’s wildest and most magnificent scenery. On the 20 km-long train ride you can see rivers that cut through deep ravines, waterfalls cascade down the side of steep, snow-capped mountains and mountain farms cling dizzily to sheer slopes, a true unique nature that you area able to explore in your tailor made adventure. The Flam Railway is one of the world’s steepest railway lines on normal gauge. The gradient is 55/1000 on almost 80% of the line, i.e. a gradient of one in eighteen. The twisting tunnels that spiral in and out of the mountain are manifestations of the most daring and skillful engineering in Norwegian railway history.

You will make a round-trip (Flam – Myrdal – Flam).

In Flam you go onboard of the cruise ship and continue into the Naeroyfjord, the narrowest fjord in Europe. Surrounded by mighty mountains of up to 1,800 meters high, this branch of the Sognefjord is amazingly beautiful. On the journey you have views of the small traditional farms. If you are lucky you will catch sight of the goats which graze along the edge of the fjord or of the seals lying on rocks before the boat moors at small idyllic village of Gudvangen.

Upon arrival to Bergen – check-in to Det Hanseatiske Hotel in the city Center. Dinner at Finnegaarden restaurant.

Your driver-guide will meet you in Gudvangen and you will continue towards Bergen via steep and spectacular hairpin bends of Stalheimskleiva. The road up to Stalheim Hotell has 13 steep turns. Upon arrival to your accommodation in Bergen.

Day 6 Bergen (50 km)

Breakfast at the hotel, after breakfast you will take a sightseeing hour tour of Bergen, including a visit to the popular Fish and Flower Market, the famous Bryggen Harbor with its gabled pack houses and the old Hanseatic Quarter. You will also ride on the funicular to Mt. Floien, for panoramic views of the city and fjords way below.

After lunch you will visit the museum of famous Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg. Troldhaugen was built in 1885, and was the home of the composer Edvard Grieg for 22 years. The house, which is beautifully situated by the Nordеs Lake, is today a popular museum. The Concert Hall can accommodate 200 visitors.

Day 7 Bergen – Lofthus (Hardangerfjord) (150 km)

Breakfast at the hotel, in the morning you start driving towards Norheimsund and Hardanger through attractive farmlands and typical villages of Western Norway.

Upon arrival to Eidfjord you can take an interesting sightseeing tour or just relax beside the fjord, wander round the centre of Eidfjord, enjoy some lunch and visit the excellent Gallery N. Bergslien. You will explore Vøringsfossen, the biggest waterfall in Norway, and a visit to the experience centre, the Hardangervidda Nature Centre. Then you will continue towards your accommodation for this night.

Day 8 Lofthus – Oslo (390 km)

Breakfast at the hotel, on your eight day in your private tour in Norway you will return to Oslo driving through the mountain areas nearby Hardangerfjord – drive around Hardangervidda National park and then Telemark region.

Lunch in one of the restaurants on the way. In the evening – arrival to Oslo. Check-in your accommodation in the city center.

Day 9

Breakfast at the hotel, your private driver will take you to the airport for your departure. You will fly to your home destination with great memories from your 9 days private tour in Norway.
