Apotek Hotel

The boutique hotel was opened in 2014 however the building is one of the Reykjavik’s oldest and most cherished buildings, the Reykjavik Apothecary (or Reykjavikur Apotek).

Gudjon Samuelsson, former State Architect of Iceland, designed the building in 1917. Gudjon built some of Iceland´s most renowned buildings such as the National theater building, Hotel Borg, Akureyrarkirkja church and Hallgrimskirkja church.
